New Delhi: In a touching and heartwarming in-flight announcement, an IndiGo pilot recently honored a true hero, Subedar Major Sanjay Kumar, a Living Param Veer Chakra awardee. The special moment, captured on video and shared by the airline on Twitter, is now winning hearts online.
The pilot began the announcement by introducing Subedar Major Sanjay Kumar as a recipient of the prestigious Param Veer Chakra, India’s highest bravery and gallantry award given during wartime. Only 21 people in Indian history have received this honor.
