Inspite of development, they talk about my ‘aukat’: PM Modi calls out Cong’s arrogance

He also recalled many incidents of name calling, when Congress leaders used slang words for him ranging from ‘Neech Aadmi, maut ka saudagar & naali ka keeda’.

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on a whirlwind tour of poll-bound Gujarat, slammed the Congress party on Monday for hurling insults and said that the party was more focused on name-calling rather than talking about development agenda in the state.

PM Modi called out Congress arrogance while addressing a gathering in Surendrangar town of Gujarat. He said that Congress party doesn’t talk about development in the state rather it is more concerned about his ‘aukat’ (status)

“Now, the Congress does not talk about development during elections. Instead, Congress leaders are saying they will show Modi his aukat. Just look at their arrogance. They, indeed, belong to a royal family, while I am merely a servant having no aukat,” he said.

He also recalled many incidents of name calling, when Congress leaders used slang words for him ranging from ‘Neech Aadmi, maut ka saudagar & naali ka keeda’.

Calling out Congress party’s arrogance, PM Modi said, “I urge you to talk about development instead of playing this game of ‘aukat’.”

PM Modi further added that he chose to swallow these insults because he puts nation’s development above everything else.

He also took a swipe at Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra and called it a march for getting power.

“Those who have been thrown out of power are taking out foot march to get back to power,” PM Modi said at the rally.

PM Modi also launched scathing attack over Narmada activists like Medha Patkar joining hands with Rahul.

” They are also taking along those who had stalled the Narmada project for 40 years through litigation and kept Gujarat thirsty for 40 years. In this election, the people of Gujarat will punish those who are doing this padyatra.

People will also punish those who were against the Narmada project,” he said without taking any names.

PM Modi was referring to Narmada Bachao Andolan spearhead Medha Patkar joining Bharat Jodo Yatra in Maharashtra recently.
