IT Raids premises of Trident group and Cremica group in Ludhiana

New Delhi: The Income Tax Department has been conducting raids on the premises of the Trident Group in Ludhiana, Punjab and Madhya Pradesh since early morning. Raids are conducted at the manufacturing units of the Trident Group in Madhya Pradesh’s Budhni. The company deals in manufacturing yarn, textiles, paper, stationary, chemicals and Home Textiles. Trident has manufacturing units in Ludhiana, Barnala and Dhaula and a corporation in Kitchlu Nagar in Ludhiana. Businessmen Rajinder Gupta is the chairman of the Trident Group and he was also appointed as the chairman of state Economic Policy and Planning Board of Punjab for a period of three years. Raids are held to check the Financial transactions and records of the company.

The Income Tax Department is conducting raids at Trident Group, with raids underway across the country. In Ludhiana and Barnala, Trident Group is also being raided by the Investigation Wing of the Income Tax Department. It is reported that about 35 teams from the Income Tax department are involved in the investigation.

Rajinder Gupta is an Indian Businessmen and a Padmashree Awardee . he was recently awarded as the Chairman of Board of Governors Punjab Engineering college in Chandigarh. He started his career in the year 1985 with an investment of over 6.5 crore in the business of chemicals and Fertilizers.
