New Delhi: Amid the raging hijab controversy, the killing of Bajrang Dal activist by 4-5 unidentified youth has led to big political fight in Karnataka. The 26-year-old was named Harsha while the identity of perpetrators is still unknown. Police have launched manhunt for the culprits while the city has been put under strict vigilance to prevent further violence.
Meanwhile, it has come to light that the victim was ‘on target’ of some Islamist groups since 2015. He received life threats from radical Islamists in 2015, after he was accused of blasphemy. The information was shared on Twitter by student activist Rashmi Samant.
In a FB post, the Islamist group named ‘Mangalore Muslims’ threatened Harsha for derogatory remarks & post against Prophet Muhammad. Below is the post warning the youth of dire consequences.

The murder of youth, despite his affiliation to the right wing or political group, should have been denounced & deplored by one and all but unfortunately, liberals & sympathisers have found it an opportunity to poke fun at.
A Twitter user @OpinionatedBong rephrased the ANI tweet and called the Bajrang Dal Activist, a terrorist. Other group of Islamists took to social media to share smiley & emojis over the death of young right wing activist.

Some apologists with handle @CJWerleman also called him a terrorist and made a preposterous link between Tripura riots & his death.

The Bajrang Dal activist was stabbed by group of 4-5 men on Sunday night, near a petrol pump in Shivamogga district. He was rushed to the hospital but succumbed to injuries. Many political leaders have demanded probe by the NIA in the ‘jihadi violence’ that resulted in killing of young boy.
