New Delhi: In a new development in Delhi’s Kanjhawala death case where a 20-year-old woman Anjali Singh was killed after being dragged by a car for 13 kilometers on January 1, the Police have clarified that Nidhi (only eye witness of the case) has not been arrested but only called to join the investigation.
Anjali was dragged by the car after the car hit her scooty.
On Thursday, Nidhi’s mother claimed that her daughter was terrified and scared after the accident and that she did not report the matter to the police.
She said this after Anjali’s mother termed the incident a “well-thought-out conspiracy.”
Anjali’s maternal uncle also said the deceased’s friend Nidhi is hatching a conspiracy by claiming the victim was drunk on the day of the incident.
He said this after Nidhi while talking to the media said that Anjali was heavily drunk on the day of the incident.
Anjali’s uncle said she did not have a drinking habit and her friend Nidhi was lying. He further said that if Anjali was drunk when the incident occurred as per her claim then why did this not come out in her postmortem report?
He also demanded the death penalty for the five accused who were inside the car which had hit and dragged Anjali.
