Delhi Police in their latest press conference named two more accused apart from the five arrested. These two new accused, as per the statement of Delhi Police, tried to tamper with the evidence to help the five accused named in the case. Special CP(L&O) Dr Sagar P Hooda, in the press conference, told that the names of the other two accused are Ashutosh Bhardwaj and Ankush Khanna, who also tried to mislead the police.
Police also opened up about the case and shared information about the post-mortem and the eyewitness Nidhi. Police said that no evidence of sexual assault was found. Talking about Nidhi, Dr Sagar Hooda said that the police have recorded her statement and there is no link between her and the five accused. Making a big revelation, Delhi Police said that the accused were aware that there was a human body under the car.
Police previously arrested the five prime accused, who were in the car on the night of the incident. They are currently on a 3-day remand and are being interrogated. Police will file a chargesheet soon and there will also be an internal inquiry into the delay in the response of Police PCR.
