Kanjhawala death case: Some boy’s seen talking to victim Anjali Singh and her friend in OYO Hotel detained, says Delhi Police

Delhi Kanjhawala case: In the CCTV footage in which the deceased woman Anjali and her friend could be seen has been identified by police as Nidhi.

New Delhi: In a new revelation in Delhi’s Kanjhawala death case where a 20-year-old woman died after being dragged for about 12 kilometers, and another CCTV footage in which the deceased woman and her friend, now  Oyo hotel manager said that he saw them arguing.

He said when he asked them not to fight, they went downstairs and started fighting again, and both of them left on a scooty

The victim’s friend has been identified as Nidhi. In the CCTV footage, both of them were seen coming out of a hotel at around 1.30 am on January 1.

Delhi Police also said that some boys have been detained for questioning who were seen with the girls at the OYO hotel.

According to the reports, the boys had booked a separate room and the hotel staff saw them talking to the girl.

In the CCTV footage which was found during the investigation from outside the hotel, the victim, Anjali can be seen wearing a pink coloured jacket while Nidhi could is seen in a Red Jacket.

According to Police, during the investigations, Nidhi had revealed that after covering a distance, the victim Anjali told her that she will ride the scooty following which Nidhi sat on the pillion seat.

She also revealed that she received minor injuries in the accident but Anjali’s leg got stuck in the car, after which she was dragged along under the car.

Following this horrific incident in the national capital, the Ministry of Home Affairs has ordered a detailed inquiry into the matter by IPS officer Shalini Singh. Currently, Shalini Singh is posted as the Special Commissioner of the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of the Delhi Police.
