Karnataka: Doctors remove 187 coins from patient’s stomach in Bagalkot

Karnataka: In a shocking incident, Doctors at Karnataka’s Hanagal Shree Kumareshwar Hospital and Research Centre removed 187 coins from patient’s stomach.

New Delhi: Doctors at Karnataka’s Hanagal Shree Kumareshwar Hospital and Research Centre in Bagalkot removed over 187 coins from the stomach of a man.

Coins were removed from the stomach of the man after he complained of stomach discomfort and vomiting on Saturday.

The man’s relatives rushed him to the Hanagal Shree Kumareshwar Hospital and Research Centre where doctors performed an X-ray to check his condition.

It was only after this that the report revealed coins in his abdomen. According to reports, the man had swallowed the coins for the last 2-3 months.

Surgery was performed to remove those coins, according to Dr Eshwar Kalaburgi.

Doctors said that the man swallowed the coins due to psychiatric disorder
