New Delhi: As counting of votes are underway in Karnataka, with Congress party ahead of the halfway mark, indicating a clear mandate.

Congress is moving ahead on the path of vctory in Karnataka and is poised to win 135 seats while BJP is expected to win 65 seats out of the 224 seats of Karnatka Assembly Elections.

Earlier, Congress leader DK Shivakumar had said that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi called him asking everyone in the party to work “together”. While talking to the media, he said that he will accept the formula that will be decided by the party.

KPCC President DK Shivakumar was named as the Deputy Chief Minister by the high command of the Congress party, while Senior Congress leader Siddaramaih was named Karnataka’s new Chief Minister.
