Two Kashmiri Pandit community brothers were attacked by the terrorists today where one lost his life while one was rushed to the hospital.

New Delhi: In a shocking incident, a Kashmiri Hindu was shot dead and another was injured after terrorists opened fire at them at an apple orchard in Shopian, said Kashmir police.

The victim has been identified as Sunil Kumar. His brother Pintu Kumar was also injured in the incident.

This comes months after the killing of a Kashmiri Pandit at a government office in Budgam.

The victim’s family mourns his death.

Mehbooba Mufti condoled the targeted killing and attacking the Government at the Centre, she said, “GOI continues to behave like an ostrich with its head buried deep under the sand. Every resident of J&K has become cannon fodder in Delhi’s quest for ‘manufactured normalcy’.”

Since October 2021, Kashmir has been witnessing a series of targeted killings out of which many of the victims were migrant workers or Kashmiri Pandits.

In October last year, seven civilians were killed in a duration of five days, out of which one was a Kashmiri Pandit, a Sikh and two migrant Hindus.

More details awaited.
