New Delhi: As the Delhi goes into a week-long lockdown from tonight, the liquor shops have been swarmed by huge gathering of people. Alcohol lovers have gathered outside liquor shops to purchase their stock. Long queues can be seen outside various liquor shops, where people are lined up to to stockpile their share of liquor before city goes into complete curfew.

Amid the rush for liquor, a woman has found strong traction on social media after her video surfaced on Twitter. Her bizarre and weird claim on ‘liquor over lockdown’ has baffled many.

The woman in video, says that she is a habitual drinker and to fight Coronavirus, she needs alcohol and not vaccine.

“Injection fayda nahi karega, ye alcohol fayda karegi…Mujhe dawaion se asar nahi hoga, peg se asar hoga…,” woman is heard saying in video.

Long queues outside liquor shops

People have gathered in large numbers outside many liquor shops in the capital. In a shop at Khan Market, crowd was seen flouting social distancing norms.

In another photo, Covid norms could be seen going for a toss as people prefer liquor over masks and social distancing.
