Maha CM Eknath Shinde comes to rescue of police constable who fainted on duty (VIDEO)

The Chief Minister offered a bottle of water to the woman constable and directed staff to get her admitted in nearby hospital.

New Delhi: The sensitive side of Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde came on display when he rushed to assist and check on a woman constable who fell unconscious while on duty. The incident happened outside the Thane Collector office on Wednesday, when the Chief Minister visited the premises.

The Chief Minister saw the woman constable fainting and immediately rushed to her rescue. He offered water and chair to the woman constable and also asked officials to get her admitted in hospital.

In the video, Eknath Shinde could be seen checking on the woman constable, enquiring about her well-being and also directing his staff to do the needful.

On Wednesday, Shinde went to Thane Collector office to attend a meeting on ways to tackle any monsoon related disaster. When the CM was heading out after the meeting, huge crowd assembled outside the hall.

While managing the heavy presence of people, the constable apparently felt uneasy and got unconscious. The Chief Minister who was passing through the crowd, stopped and made sure that all help was available to the person in uniform and stayed there until she regained her composure. The Chief Minister offered a bottle of water to the woman constable and directed staff to get her admitted in nearby hospital.

In the meeting, Shinde took stock of the preparation of Civic bodies in dealing with potholes in the city and also its preparedness in tackling the Monsoon menace that creates water deluge on roads.
