New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled the first phase of the Mahakaleshwar Temple corridor development project worth Rs 856 crore today, i.e. on Tuesday. The highly anticipated project is an initiative to boost the tourism industry in Madhya Pradesh.
The city of Ujjain, also known as Mahakal’s Nagari, saw a grand inauguration of the newly developed ‘Mahakal Lok’, which is expected to be live-streamed across 40 countries across the globe.
State BJP president Vishnu Dutt Sharma told, “We reached out to the people from Madhya Pradesh residing in these countries. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and I held a virtual meeting with them and they were excited to join the event. We are planning to extend the list of countries to 50. Apart from virtually attending the event, the NRIs will organize special ceremonies like the lighting of lamps to mark the occasion”.
