Maharashtra Crime: Woman allegedly kills her husband with the help of lover by slow poisoning him, arrested

Doctors also said that this was unusual metallic substances to be found in human blood.

New Delhi: In a shocking incident, a woman allegedly killed her husband with the help of her lover in Mumbai by slow poisoning him.

After the incident came to light, the woman and her lover have been arrested on charges of conspiracy and murder.

Both the accused has been remanded in police custody until December 8.

Police said, the woman has been identified as Kavita, a few years ago she had separated from her husband Kamalkant, but she had returned to his house back in Santacruz due to their child’s future.

According to police, Kavita’s lover, Hitesh Jain were childhood friends and both belonged to a business families.

Meanwhile, Kavita’s mother in law died  suddenly due to stomach disease.

However, after few months, Kamalkant also developed stomach ache and his health condition deteriorated. When tests were conducted Doctor revealed there was very high levels of arsenic and thallium in his blood.

Doctors also said that this was unusual metallic substances to be found in human blood.

The victim died on November 19 while he was undergoing treatment in Bombay Hospital.

It was during the investigation, it was found that Kavita and her lover Hitesh gradually poisoned Kamalnath with the intention to kill him.

Meanwhile, now the police are investigating whether the victim’s mother was also poisoned as the symptoms were same in both the cases.
