New Delhi: In a major blow to Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader Mahua Moitra, the lawmaker from Lok Sabha may get expelled from the House soon.

The Lok Sabha Ethics Committee, which was probing charges the cash for query allegations against her, finalized a draft report today and recommended her expulsion from the House on back of ‘unethical conduct’.

The draft report of Ethics Committee was supported by majority of its members in showing TMC MP the door. Reports suggest that 6 members voter in favour of the recommendation while 4 members voted against it.

Captain Amarinder Singh’s wife and Congress MP Preneet Kaur also voted against Moitra as latter’s antics amounted to threat to national security.

Ethics Committee chairman Vinod Sonkar told news men, “A report had been drafted by the Ethics Committee on the allegations against Mahua Moitra. Six members supported the report while four members submitted their dissent notes…A detailed report is being submitted to the Lok Sabha Speaker tomorrow…The action, whatever it is, will be taken by the Speaker…”

The Committee also found that Mahua Moitra’s Parliamentary credentials were accessed from UAE multiple times by unauthorized persons.

The TMC MP from Krishnanagar constituency in West Bengal came in the thick of ‘cash for query’ scam after sensational revelations over her alleged complicity.

A complaint by BJP MP Nishikant Dubey documented her malafide motive behind asking questions in the Parliament.

The ‘Cash for Query’ charges leveled by Nishikant Dubey claimed that the TMC took bribes from Hiranandani Group and raised questions in Parliament to target the Adani Group.
