“Make Goa an education capital of India”: Prof Pankaj Choudhary, BJP

Professor Pankaj stressed that it was important to create institutions that are in line with The New Education Policy

New Delhi: Professor Pankaj Chaudhary, a prominent educationist, paid a visit to Goa’s Chief Minister Pramod Sawant and Governor P. S. Sreedharan Pillai. Chaudhary is an accomplished educationist. He currently works as an assistant professor at Delhi University’s Campus Law Centre.

Goa’s beguiling beaches and enchanting countryside are a delight for everyone, from the wealthy in India to the middle-class. Given its appeal to India’s youth, it has enormous potential to be India’s education capital.

He shared his discernment on the development of the International University of Legal Education (IULE) and the International Arbitration Centre bench, an ambitious project for the Government of Goa as well as the Bar Council of India.

Professor Pankaj spoke out to discuss the possibilities of creating Summer and Winter Schools, Diploma, Certifications, and directed study courses in an effort to boost the state’s education infrastructure. It is notable that Prof.

Pankaj is also a directed fellow at The Hague Academy of International Law in the Netherlands. This premier legal educational institute has shaped many eminent legal luminaries including lawyers, jurists and career diplomats.

Professor Pankaj stressed that it was important to create institutions that are in line with The New Education Policy. This will allow for an ingenious education hub that can shape individuals for the benefit of the entire world.

The Government of Goa took his ideas and insights into consideration and appointed Shri Giriraj Paivernekar as Convenor of the Policy and Research Department, while Prof.DatteshPrabhuParulekar was appointed the Co-Convenor to oversee the execution of these educational initiatives.

As the state strives to be the education centre of India, the quick actions taken by the Government of Goa are laudable. India and Goa are set to have one more reason to be proud of their world-class education infrastructure, which will include the International University of Legal Education.
