Making Covid vaccination a grand success: Door-to-door campaign & helpdesks, part of BJP’s nation-wide campaign

Acting on PM Modi’s appeal, the BJP has ramped up its efforts to make the Covid-19 vaccination drive a grand success. BJP workers are set to reach out to people across the country to sensitise them about vaccination and also set up help desks at public places to spread awareness about the vaccination programme.

New Delhi: With fresh outbreak of new Covid-19 cases to alarming levels, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has urged the states to renew the fight against the pandemic and re-doubling their efforts in containing the spread of virus.

PM Modi expressed concern over jump in Corona cases near villages as they have limited medical facilities and appealed to state govts for optimum utilization of vaccine and reduce wastage, if any.

Acting on the appeal of Prime Minister, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has ramped up its efforts to make the Covid-19 vaccination drive a grand success. BJP workers are set to reach out to people across the country to sensitise them about vaccination and also set up help desks at public places to spread awareness about the vaccination programme.

BJP Rajya Sabha MP, who is the co-ordinator of the party’s drive against vaccination is taking keen interest in ensuring that implementation is done at ground level, earnestly and effectively.

On Saturday, Dr Anil Jain visited a government hospital in Shikohabad district of Uttar Pradesh and reviewed the vaccination centre, registration of elderly citizens and also enquired if there were any hiccups in vaccination.

“Acting on the appeal of our foresighted PM Modi and BJP President JP Nadda, we have taken pledge to make this vaccination drive a success,” Dr Jain told mediapersons.

How BJP MPs, MLAs, workers chipping in the vaccine drive

BJP MPs, MLAs, office-bearers have been directed to chip in with their efforts in enabling maximum number of vaccinations in their region. BJP MP Dr Anil Jain has been enstrusted with the responsibility to co-ordinate with party’s state units in this regard.

According to internal party sources, the BJP workers and cadres have been instructed to hold door-to-door contact programme for sensitizing people about the vaccine. Helpdesks would be set up at public places, community centres to make people aware about the need and importance of taking the vaccine jab in fighting off the pandemic.

As elderly are likely to face problem in registration, the party workers will help them in registering themselves on CoWin portal and Aarogya Setu App.
BJP workers will also undertake the responsibility of ensuring clean water at vaccination centres and also help transport elderly and sick people to the vaccination spots and hospitals and drop them back.

BJP’s social media team will take up the responsibility of reaching out to tech savvy people and encourage them to get elderly vaccinated at the earliest. Photographs of vaccinated people may also posted on social media for ‘awareness drive’, said reports.

BJP’s medical cell will also take active role in the drive while the party MPs and MLAs will take ‘supervisory role’ in ensuring the smooth run of vaccination drive.

India’s vaccination drive got boost after PM Modi’s vaccine jab

Following a sluggish start, India’s vaccination drive – apparently the world’s biggest, witnessed jump of four-fold after PM Modi got himself inoculated with the vaccine.

Almost 21 million shots have been administered in India so far, up from 5.4 million a month ago, according to data compiled as of Sunday by Bloomberg and Johns Hopkins University.

Currently, the second phase of vaccination is underway in which senior citizens and 45 years plus people with co-morbidities are being inoculated. In first phase, Covid-19 warriors and frontline workers were vaccinated against the contagious virus.
