Meghalaya CM Conrad Sangma denies singing at an event; Here’s why (VIDEO)

Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma refuses to sing at India today conclave.

New Delhi: Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma on Tuesday opened up on his body language especially in front of Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the India today conclave.

He said that it was only after NDA came to power the North Eastern states have been given more focus.

CM Conrad Sangma also denied singing and playing the guitar at the event when he was asked to do so.

He said that he basically never says no, but since so much of miseries, damages, sufferings back home.

He said that the moment was not correct to sing especially when people are suffering due to floods in the state and the neighbouring state like Assam and Mnipur.

 Meghalaya CM Conrad Sangma on TMC leader Abhishek Banerjee’s body language comment:

“One should be able to come out of the noise and achieve targets.”

“I am open to any kind of criticism. The NPP has been a political party which started with 0ne-two MLA’s now its a national party.”

He said that we never shied away from our identity and from standing up for our own cause and political space.

“In the context of politics that happens in our nation there are friends and have to work with the team and we are working with NDA  doesn’t mean that we compromise on our identity and different values and stand. ”

On Droupadi Murmu’s becoming tribal female President of India

“It will be a proud moment for me being a tribal to finally see a tribal women becoming the Indian President. It is important as it gives a sense of identity and a sense of recognition.” This is the highest form that can be given.

Religious minority

On grassroot level there are several issues.

Talking on FCRA he said that thousands of schools that are funded from outside and is being run by missionaries had to go though a lot of difficulties.

“I have taken hundreds of cases and not every issue has a religious angle to it.”
