Maharashtra: MLA Prakash Surve’s son accused of abducting businessman at gunpoint

Rajkumar Singh was forcefully taken from his office and subjected to extreme pressure at gunpoint. Following the abduction, Singh was reportedly taken to the office of MLA Prakash Surve in Dahisar.

New Delhi: A shocking incident has sent shockwaves through Mumbai as the police have registered an FIR against Raj Surve, the son of Shiv Sena (Shinde faction) MLA Prakash Surve, and others for their alleged involvement in the kidnapping of businessman Rajkumar Singh. The abduction, which reportedly occurred at gunpoint, took place in the Goregaon East area of Mumbai.

According to reports, a group of about 10 to 15 individuals stormed the premises of Global Music Junction, a music company located in Goregaon, Mumbai. These individuals allegedly abducted Rajkumar Singh, the CEO of the music company. Disturbing CCTV footage surfaced online, showing a group of individuals purportedly entering the office premises, confronting the staff, and forcibly taking one person away with them.

As per the statement provided by Rajkumar Singh, he was forcefully taken from his office and subjected to extreme pressure at gunpoint. The alleged motive behind this ordeal was to coerce him into settling a business loan granted to Manoj Mishra of Patna.

Following the abduction, Rajkumar Singh was reportedly taken to the office of MLA Prakash Surve in Dahisar. It is alleged that Raj Surve, the MLA’s son, along with his associates, threatened Singh at gunpoint. Their purported objective was to ensure the settlement of the business loan and to prevent Singh from disclosing the incident to anyone else.

The legal aspect of this case gained traction as the FIR was registered based on Rajkumar Singh’s account of the events. News agency ANI reported that Singh had provided a statement claiming that he was threatened and coerced during his ordeal at the hands of Raj Surve and his associates.

The incident has not only sparked concern within the city but has also elicited reactions from political quarters. Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Priyanka Chaturvedi, in a tweet, took a dig at the Shinde camp over the incident, referring to them as the “navratnas of the traitor gang.”

As the investigation continues, this incident sheds light on the escalating issue of lawlessness and intimidation tactics that have far-reaching implications for Mumbai’s social and political fabric. The police’s swift response in registering the FIR demonstrates their commitment to upholding the rule of law and ensuring the safety of citizens.
