The aggressor, identified as Sonu, was chased and bitten by a stray dog about a couple of weeks ago.

New Delhi: A bizarre incident recently unfolded in Madhya Pradesh’s Sagar district where a man, days after being bitten by a stray dog, started attacking the locals while simultaneously showing signs of violent and erratic changes in his overall behavior.

Various reports related to the incident narrate that the aggressor, identified as Sonu, was chased and bitten by a stray dog about a couple of weeks ago. Ever since then, the guy’s personality changed drastically over time to the extent that he allegedly started attacking random strangers, even biting some of them for no reason at all.

Additionally, Sonu, who is employed at a local vegetable market in the area, also began to consume raw meat days after becoming prey to the dog attack, triggering a wave of panic & terror amongst the residents of the area.

Locals Fears for safety

Speaking about the incident, a few locals told how Sonu always found a way to avoid getting treated whenever the people of the area attempted to get him into the required medical. They also told how the guy’s behavior is becoming concerning with each passing day and how the people in the area are suffering because of it.

According to the reports, Sonu, a few days back, assaulted a guy named Narendra Thakur by biting him while he was buying onions from a local grocery store.

Thankfully, Thakur received appropriate treatment shortly after getting attacked and was also administered several injections to eliminate any chances of getting infected.

Meanwhile, sighing relief to the people alarmed by Sonu’s threatening behavior, Bundelkhan Medical College’s Dr. Sumit also shared his take on the matter, making it clear that, unlike animals, humans infested with rabies cannot spread it to another human.

Although the doctor urged the folks to stay away from Sonu, he also said that had the guy contracted rabies after getting bitten by the dog two weeks ago, he would have potentially passed away from the disease by now.
