New Delhi: Former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and Samajwadi Party founder Mulayam Singh Yadav died at the age of 82 at Medanta Hospital in Gurugram on Monday. He was admitted to Medanta Hospital for a long time due to a urine infection.
The latter was admitted to the ICU of Gurugram Hospital on October 1. After his death, a three-day state mourning has been announced in Uttar Pradesh. The last rites of Mulayam Singh Yadav will be performed on Tuesday. A wave of mourning has been triggered in the political world on the death of ‘Netaji’. From Prime Minister Modi to CM Yogi Adityanath to BSP supremo Mayawati have expressed deep grief on his death.
Earlier, his son Akhilesh Yadav, brother Shivpal Yadav and daughter-in-law Aparna Yadav had left for Delhi upon the information of Yadav’s condition being critical. Notably, Mulayam’s wife Sadhna Gupta also passed away three months ago.
