New Delhi: A body of 53-year-old woman was found in Mumbai’s Lalbhaug area inside a plastic bag on Wednesday. Police said that the body of the woman was kept in a closet for months.
Meanwhile, Police has taken the women’s daughter, 21 into the custody for questioning.
The missing report was registered b y woman’s brother and nephew at Kalachowki police station on Tuesday, DCP Pravin Mundhe said.
When Police searched the first-floor apartment, the woman’s decomposing body was found inside a plastic bag.
The woman’s daughter has been detained and interrogating her in this case. The body of the woman has been sent for post-mortem and the cause of death in the case is yet to be ascertained.
This comes at a time when several such incidents have been reported from several parts of the country.
Last year, a 21-year-old Shraddha Walkar was killed by her live in partner Aftab Poonawala and her body was chopped in several pieces and the dumped in nearby areas.
