Munawwar Rana post lines from his poem for Yogi Adityanath’s recent meet with mother, Twitter erupts into derisive memes

New Delhi: Yogi Adityanath-led BJP government returned to power with a thumping victory in the recently concluded assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh. Apart from various supreme leaders from multiple parties contesting in the heartland, poet Munawwar Rana was among those who made the most headlines in the polls.

Back in January, speaking to the media, Munawwar Rana had said, “If Yogi Adityanath becomes CM again, I will leave Uttar Pradesh. It will be very painful for me, but since the state in itself is in danger, I am left with no other option but to leave.”

After the remarkable win of Yogi 2.0 government, social media users have been constantly reminding Rana about his vow of leaving UP, who has not kept with his words till now.

Now, in a recent instance, Rana has tweeted a couple of lines from his well-renowned poem ‘Maa’, along with the adorable pic of Yogi Adityanath with his mother from his recent trip to his hometown in Uttarakhand.

Adding caption to the image, Munawwar Rana wrote, “Meri khwaahish hai ki main phir se farishta ho jaaun, Maa se iss tarha lipat jaaun ki bachcha ho jaaun (I wish I could be an angel again, To cling to the mother in such a way that I become a child).

Rana did not only broke his ususal conduct with his recent tweet, but also took Netizens by surprise are used to hear BJP’s constant criticism form the poet by now. The post drew several sarcastic remarks from the online users. See here:
