Mysore Road Accident: President Murmu pays condolences, CM Siddarmaiah announces compensation as 10 killed in accident

CM Siddarmaiah announced a Rs 2 lakh compensation to the families of the deceased out of the CM Relief Fund.

New Delhi: 10 people including two children died in a road accident between a private bus and a car near Tirumakudalu-Narasipura in Mysore, Karnataka. President Doupadi Murmu took to Twitter to pay condolences to the deceased. CM Siddarmaiah announced a Rs 2 lakh compensation to the families of the deceased out of the CM Relief Fund.

President Murmu wrote that she was pained to learn about the lives lost in the accident. Paying condolences to the families, she wished for a speedy recovery for the people injured.

CM Siddarmaiah wrote that he was disturbed to hear about the accident. Announcing the compensation, he wrote that he has directed the officials to ensure proper medical treatment for the injured. PM Modi also announced a compensation of Rs 2 lakh to the families of the deceased and Rs 50,000 to the ones injured in the tragedies in Mysore and Jharkhand’s Dhanbad.

The accident took place this evening and Seema Latkar, SP Mysuru, informed that 10 people including two children were dead.

A similar road accident took place in Karnataka’s Koppal district yesterday, where six people died after a car collided with a lorry. CM Siddarmaiah announced Rs 2 lakh compensation to the kin of the victims of the accident.
