Nagaraju, murdered in public, had sold his gold chain for Rs 25,000 for wife’s Eid shopping

New Delhi: B Nagaraju, the Hindu man who was brutally murdered on road in Hyderabad by wife’s Muslim family members, had reportedly sold his gold chain to take his wife for Eid shopping.

Nagaraju’s death was a ghastly murder on Hyderabad streets that left the whole nation shocked & left in disbelief. The gory murder was caught on camera, in which wife’s Muslim brothers could be seen hitting Nagaraju with iron rods and stabbing with sharp weapon.

Despite being in an interfaith marriage, Nagaraju had high respects for wife’s religion and that is why he sold his gold chain for wife’s Eid shopping.

According to an Indian Express report, the HR manager of the showroom where he worked said that Nagaraju sold his gold chain to take his wife shopping at Charminar.

“Nagaraju told me he sold his gold chain for Rs 25,000 to take his wife to Charminar for Eid shopping. He was a very honest and hardworking person. He used to change his clothes but on Wednesday, he left in his uniform as he was getting late and had to pick up his wife from his sister’s home,” the paper quoted HRK Satish as saying.

The incident happened on Wednesday night at Saroornagar in Hyderabad. Nagaraju was taking his wife Ashrin Sultana Syed on motorbike for shopping. On the way, his wife’s brothers chased them and attacked Nagaraju at a cross-section of the road. What made the incident more horrifying & harrowing was the silence of onlookers & passers-by while two youths named Syed Mobin Ahmed & Mohammed Masood Ahmed repeatedly attacked the youth with rods and knife.

Both the accused have been arrested and they have admitted on record that they were opposed to sister’s relationship with Nagaraju and had even warned of consequences.
