New Delhi: EAM Dr S Jaishankar welcomed Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari for the Meeting of the SCO Council of Foreign Ministers in Goa.

In the vide from the SCO meet, EAM can be seen welcoming Bilawal Bhutto Zardari with folded hands before they two posed for pictures.

S Jaishankar can also seen directing him to the venue.

In almost 12 years, Bilawal Bhutto  become the first senior leader from Pakistan to visit India. He is here to attend the  two-day-long meeting of SCO member states which started here on Thursday.

After he arrived in India, he said that he is looking forward to constructive discussions with his counterparts from friendly countries.

On Thursday, Bhutto was received at the airport by Indian diplomat JP Singh (Joint Secretary, Pakistan-Afghanistan-Iran desk).

Bhutto is attending the  SCO conclave after he was invited by the External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar.

Ahead of the main event, a cultural event was hosted by India on Thursday.

This year’s theme for India’s chairmanship of SCO is ‘Secure-SCO’.
