New Delhi: The demolition of the Noida Twin Towers took place at 2:30 PM on Sunday. After nine years-long battles by the residents, the twin towers were razed to the ground within seconds. Reportedly, the residents filed a case owing to a violation of norms. 3,700 kg of explosives were installed to destroy them.
The two towers namely Apex (32 storeys) and Ceyane (29 storeys) after demolition left behind 35,000 cubic metres of debris that would nearly take three months to be cleared.

The demotion has been carried away smoothing without damaging any residential towers in adjoining areas. Reportedly, the evacuated residents would be allowed to return after security clearance from the inspection team.
