Netizens slam Naseeruddin Shah on hypocrisy over Prophet row, calling Kashmir Files ‘fake’

Netizens were surprised to notice how Shah critisized the comments made on Prophet, but dismissed a film on Kashmiri Hindu genocide by calling it a ‘fiction’

New Delhi: Popular Bollywood actor Naseeruddin Shah, who is best known for his distinct acting skills, often remains in the headlines over his controversial statements.

Once again, a couple of Shah’s statements over a recent controversy as well as a recently released movie have been called out by Netizens over his hypocrisy on both the matters via social media.

Shah’s reaction has come to the fore on BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma’s comment on Prophet Mohammad. In a recent interview, Shah said that not just late action was taken in the matter, but the political party also took an entire week to condemn the controversial remarks.

Apart from raising questions over BJP’s action on the controversy, he further directly questioned the Prime Minister.

Shah said, “Prime Minister Modi should come forward if he wants to stop the hatred spreading in the society”.

In his interview, the actor also criticized filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri’s ‘The Kashmir Files’ and called it a ‘fictional version’ of the pain and suffering suffered by Kashmiri Hindus.

However, Naseeruddin Shah’s take on both the matters did not go well with a large number of social media users, who were stunned with his hypocrisy on the issues.

Netizens were surprised to notice how Shah critisized the Central government and even called out the PM in the matter of objectionable comments being made of against his faith, but dismissed a film made on the genocide of Kashmiri Hindu community calling it a ‘fiction’.
