NIRF Rankings 2024 Top Colleges: Here’s the list of Top 10 Indian colleges as per National Institute Ranking Framework’s rankings
Hindu college surprisingly topped the table this year, zooming past the former top college Miranda House which stood at Rank 2.
New Delhi: The National Institute Ranking Framework (NIRF) released its rankings for the top 100 colleges in the country for 2024 on August 12th, 2024.
This year, Hindu College surprisingly topped the table, zooming past the former top college Miranda House which stood at Rank 2. Meanwhile, St. Stephen College also made an entry into the Top 10 list by rising to Rank 3, reasserting DU’s undisputed dominance in the NIRF rankings 2024.
Even besides these top 3 collages, a few more collages of Delhi University, including Kirori Mal, Lady Shriram, and Atma Ram Sanatan Dharma Collage also secured their place in NIRF’s list of top 10 Indian collages of this year.
Rest 4 collages in the NIRF 2024 list are Rama Krishna Mission Vivekananda Centenary College (Kolkata), St. Xavier`s College(Kolkata) PSGR Krishnammal College for Women (Coimbatore), and Loyola College (Chennai).
Here’s the compiled list of The National Institute Ranking Framework’s Top 10 Collages for the year 2024.
1. Hindu College (Delhi)
The No. 1 college in NIRF’s list for the year 2024 is Delhi University’s Hindu college which has achieved this feat by outshining Miranda House which comfortably held the numero uno spot for the last 7 years.
2. Miranda House (Delhi)
In the second spot on NIRF 2024 rankings is DU’s Miranda House collage. This ace woman was No. 1 for the past 7 years but was pushed down to the second-best position by Hindu College in 2024.
3. St. Stephen College (Delhi)
Another one from Delhi University, St. Stephen College, which didn’t even make it to the Top 10 list in last year’s NIRF rankings, surprised many by leaping forward to the 3rd spot in 2024. It was ranked 14 in NIRF’s 2023 rankings.
4. Rama Krishna Mission Vivekananda Centenary College (Kolkata)
Popular in West Bengal as Rahara V.C College, Rama Krishna Mission Vivekananda Centenary College is one of two colleges of Kolkata that has made it to NIRF’s list this year. While the educational institute ranked 8th in 2023, it improved its position significantly this year by securing the 4th position.
5. Atma Ram Sanatan Dharm College (Delhi)
Atma Ram Sanatan Dharm Collage is No. 5 in the NIRF 2024 rankings for Colleges. Established by Shri Atma Ram in 1959 the college also made it to the Top 10 of NIRF 2023 in which it was ranked in 6th position.
6. St. Xavier`s College (Kolkata)
The second collage from Kolkata to feature on this list is St. Xaviers Collage which slipped to Rank 6 in NIRF Rankings 2024. Founded by the Society of Jesus all the way back in 1860, it was ranked 5 in NIRF rankings 2023.
7. PSGR Krishnammal College for Women (Coimbatore)
The prestigious Arts and Science College of Coimbatore is ranked 7th in the NIRF 2024 top colleges ranking. Last year, it performed much better and was in the 4th position on the list.
8. Loyola College (Chennai)
Chennai’s Loyola College is 8th on the list of NIRF’s College Rankings 2024. The private Catholic higher education institution was also in NIRF’s Top 10 colleges last year, ranked in the 7th position.
9. Kirori Mal College (Delhi)
Kirori Mal College, in NIRf 2024 college rankings has retained its 9th Rank once again in 2024. The Delhi University Institute was ranked the same in last year’s list as well.
10. Lady Shri Ram College for Women (Delhi)
Lady Shri Ram Collage is the 10th & Final educational in NIRF 2024’s list of Top 10 collages. Renowned for robust academic excellence, the DU college was ranked 10th in 2023 as well.
