Ravish Kumar Exclusive Interview: Did former Senior Executive Editor hinted on joining politics?

New Delhi: Ravish Kumar, Senior Executive Editor resigned from NDTV after the Adani Group bought more than 29 percent stake in the media outlet.

Ravish Kumar resigned a day after Prannoy Roy and Radhika Roy quit as the directors of the NDTV promoter company RRPR Holding Private Limited.

Days after his exit from NDTV, he has now opened up in an Exclusive interview with Mukesh Sharma on BBC.

Talking about things that he is being offered

He said “log sarso ka tel, ghee, paisa, rupya, laptop sab leakar aa rahe hai loo tumko kya chahiye” (People are offering mustard oil, money, ghee, a laptop, and everything else and asking about what I want .)

Ravish Kumar on entering Politics

Ravish Kumar says “Aap Kalpna Kijiye ki agar mein Rajneeti mein hoon, Lok Sabha mein hoon aur unke samne hoon. Lok Sabha ko koi nahi kharid sakta hea.”

Without mentioning anyone’s name, he says imagine if I am in politics and in Lok Sabha and standing near him. No one can buy Lok Sabha.”

Reason for resignation

He says there is no fixed reason for anyone’s resignation it all depends on time, situation and other circumstances.

“I kept his honor, I didn’t want Prony Roy to regret keeping me.”

“I don’t want to say anything that will make him think that he has done a mistake by allowing me to grow in the organistaion.”

“Sheher mein aisa katil aa jaye… toh log apni hatya pea geet gane lag jaye ki mera bhi katal kiya ja raha hea shehr mein aisa katil aya hea.”
