“No one will be spared, 27 arrested so far”: Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami on UKSSSC recruitment scam

CM said that his government wants to set an example so that no such incident occurs again as the administration is concerned about youngsters

New Delhi: During an informal interaction with the media under pretext of the Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UKSSSC) recruitment scam, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami shared status of the ongoing probe in the matter.

Dhami said that it is a serious issue related to employment in the state hence the state government have instructed the officials to conduct a strict inquiry.

He informed that probe is underway in all the cases with some being investigated by the STF, while Vigilance has been appointed for the rest. Dhami further told that a total of 27 persons have been arrested in the matter yet.

“No one will be spared in the recruitment scams, no matter how connected the accused are, the law will be implemented on everyone”, he said.

CM also said that his government wants to set an example so that no such incident occurs again as the administration is concerned about the present and future of youngsters of Uttarakhand.

“The investigation has been carried out on war-level, the results of which will gradually arrive soon”, he added.

Meanwhile, on complaints of irregularities in the appointments in the state assembly, Dhami said that the ‘Vidhan Sabha’ is a constitutional body and hence the government would request the Speaker of the house to initiate an investigation into the appointments which have received complaints of irregularities.

“It is a crucial matter that needs a fair investigation. The state government will ensure whatever cooperation in the probe will be asked by the Speaker in the enquiry”, Dhami said.
