New Delhi: The spiritual leader of the Tibetan people, Dalai Lama opened up about the Tawang clash and China. China clashed with the Indian Army in Tawang along with the LAC on December 9. While the matter has heated the politics in the country, Dalai Lama shared that he would not return to China.
When asked about China and the Tawang clash, Dalai Lama said that things are improving in Europe, Africa and Asia, also things are getting flexible in China. He added that there is no point in returning to China and he prefers India. He said that Kangra, which was the former PM Pt Nehru’s choice, is his permanent residence.

Earlier, Lama Yeshi Khawo, a Monk of Tawang Monastery said that PM Modi will not spare anyone and that it is 2022 and not 1962. He added that if the Chinese government wants peace in the world, they should not take such steps.
Dalai Lama has received immense support from India and especially from PM Narendra Modi and former Himachal Pradesh CM Jairam Thakur. While China has raised questions about the activities of the Dalai Lama, India has stood by him and the Buddhists in the country. Dalai Lama will visit Bodhgaya, where he will also give some teachings, and IB is on high alert for his security.
Dalai Lama was recognised as the reincarnation of the 13th Dalai Lama, at the age of 2 and in 1959, after China’s invasion of Tibet, he and his government were forced into exile. This is the time when he came to Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh.
