New Delhi: World records have fascinated humans since the beginning of time. Sometimes these records are impressive like being the strongest while some are downright bizarre.
This time, what has taken social media by storm is a 300-year-old record for having the longest nose in the world. And the record holder isn’t some unknown entity but rather a well-known man. So much so that his wax statue is being placed in the London Museum.
As per Guinness’s Book of world records, the longest nose belonged to a 17th-century man named Thomas Woodhouse. His nose was recorded to be 7.5 inches long; the longest ever known to mankind to this day.

Due to this, he became a famous performer at the Cirkus. People from faraway areas would come to see him because of his unusually long nose.
Thomas Woodhouse lived in England. And now, a wax sculpture of his bust is placed in London’s Ripley Museum for visitors to see.
However, the world record for the longest nose of a living person belongs to a Turkish man named Mehmet Ozurek. His long was measured 3.46 inches long two years ago and his name was added to the Guinness Book of world records.
Another noteworthy world record is for the biggest mouth known to mankind. And it belongs to a famous American Tiktoker Samantha Ramsdell, whose mouth can open up to 6.52 inches. Samantha used to feel insecure about her incredibly large mouth area, but after receiving the record at the age of 31, she feels like it’s what makes her unique.
