New Delhi: There have been numerous instances when the food ordered online gets delivered late due to traffic, mismanagement or any other reason. A similar instance happened in Delhi where the delivery guy received a special welcome after delivering food after a wait of one hour. Usually, the food gets delivered in 30 minutes when ordered through apps like Zomato or Swiggy, and people get furious if it crosses that limit. Here it was a different case and rare sight.
A Zomato delivery person delivered the food one hour late and was welcomed with ‘aarti’ and ’tilak’ at the doorstep. The customer opened the door singing the song ‘Aayiye Aapka Intezaar Tha’. He thanked Zomato for getting his food delivered even in Delhi’s traffic. The delivery person also accepted the welcome and got a ’tilak’ on her forehead. The video posted by @sanjeevkumar220268 went viral on the internet. He shared the video writing, “Getting your order despite “Dilli ka traffic” Thank you Zomato.”

While people get furious about a delay in food delivery, this man used sarcasm as a tool to convey the message. Rather than scolding the delivery person, he welcomed him and worshipped him. It was surely a rare sight seen by the netizens and they went gaga over the video. The clip got more than 25 lakh views and more than 4,80,000 likes.
Meanwhile, the internet was divided on this as well. Some people found it funny and fair while some thought the exaggeration was not the right thing to do with the delivery person.
