New Delhi: In a chilling incident, a student of Shiv Nadar University in Uttar Pradesh shot and killed his woman classmate inside the campus before shooting himself dead, police said.
The 21-year-old shot himself dead at the boy’s hostel.
Police said that the girl and the boy were third-year students of BA Sociology.
According to SM Khan, deputy commissioner of police, Greater Noida, the administrative officials of Shiv Nadar University alerted the police around 1.30 pm on Thursday that a woman student was shot dead by her classmate outside the dining hall of the university.
The woman who was shot dead was identified as Sneha Chaurasia, who hailed from Kanpur. Immediately, the girl was taken to the Yatharth Hospital in Greater Noida where doctors declared her brought dead.

What happened inside the campus?
Police said that before the shooting incident inside the campus of Shiv Nadar University in Noida, the boy, identified as Anuj, a third-year Sociology student was seen arguing with the girl outside the dining hall.
Also, in the cctv footage, the boy can be seen hugging the girl before he pulled out the gun and shot her.
After shooting Sneha, Anuj shot himself dead inside a room in the boy’s hostel.
According to a senior police official. Anuj and Sneha were good friends but they were having a dispute for some time.
