New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Gujarat’s Gandhinagar to meet his mother Heeraben Modi on Sunday. At his home, PM Modi takes the blessing of her mother ahead of the Gujarat election by touching her feet. After that, he was seen having a cup of tea while sitting beside her.
This is the first visit of PM Modi to his mother after he visited her last time in June on her 100th birthday.

Notably, the visit came just a day before people in Gujarat will cast their votes in the second face of the 2022 Gujarat election. The election will be held on December 5 and the results will be announced on December 8.
PM Modi will also cast his vote in Ahmedabad Tomorrow. Earlier on December 3, PM shared his reaction upon his visit to the state on Twitter and thanked people for giving him tremendous affection.

Before the visit to her mother, PM Modi inaugurated Pramukhswami Maharaj’s birthday centenary festival in Ahmedabad. Notably, it is a 30-day festival, starting on December 15 and will continue till January 15.
For the festival, the government has also planned to build a grand ‘Pramukhswami Maharaj Nagar’ on the Sardar Patel Ring Road.
