PM Modi celebrates 15-year milestone on YouTube, encourages content creators at YouTube Fanfest India 2023

“Make an emotional appeal that we will buy products that carry the fragrance of our soil, products that bear the sweat of our laborers and artisans. Whether it’s Khadi, handicrafts, handloom, or anything else, awaken the nation, initiate a movement,” PM Modi passionately encouraged the content creators.

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi marked a significant milestone on Wednesday, completing 15 years on the popular video-sharing platform YouTube.

Addressing a virtual gathering of around 5,000 content creators at the YouTube Fanfest India 2023, PM Modi shared insights into his YouTube journey, emphasizing that he is “no different” from them.

“Since 15 years, I have also been connected to the country and the world through a YouTube channel. I also have subscribers in decent numbers,” noted PM Modi, whose channel boasts 17.9 million subscribers. He acknowledged the profound impact of content creators on the Indian audience. “For years, I have been observing how your content impacts the people of our country,” he stated.

The prime minister expressed a shared mission between him and the YouTube community. “Together, we can bring about transformation in the lives of a vast population in our country,” he asserted.

While highlighting his YouTube content, PM Modi mentioned that he has thousands of videos on various topics. However, he found the most satisfaction in addressing students through the platform, focusing on subjects such as managing exam stress, expectation management, and enhancing productivity.

During his brief address, PM Modi touched upon several key initiatives like “Swachh Bharat,” digital payments, and “Vocal for Local.” According to the Prime Minister, India has a significant 46% share in global digital payments, thanks to the success of UPI. He urged the community to encourage more people in the country to adopt digital payments. Additionally, he suggested simplifying the process through informative videos.

He also shared tips for creating more engaging content. “Consider putting a question at the end of each episode or provide action points to encourage people to take part. When people engage in activities and share them, it not only boosts your popularity but also promotes active involvement,” he advised.

In a humorous conclusion to his address, PM Modi quipped, “I will also repeat what you say at the end of your videos. Subscribe to my channel and hit the bell icon to receive all my updates.”
