The church is located in Delhi’s Connaught Place and PM’s visit to the church reasserted his support towards the minority groups. Earlier, on April 5, the supreme head of the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church, Baselios Marthoma Mathews III visited PM Modi along with Union Minister V Muraleedharan in the Parliament. He invited the PM to visit their headquarters in Kerala.
Easter Sunday marks the third day after Jesus was crucified when he rose from the dead. This is a global holiday as Christians celebrate the resurrection of Jesus. From the last Sunday, which is Palm Sunday to Easter Sunday, the week is celebrated as the Passion of Jesus Christ, which marks the period of time from when Christ arrived in Jerusalem to when he was crucified.
