Raged aunt attacks nephew as her brother didn’t come to attend mother’s funeral
A woman in Madhya Pradesh's Bhopal attacked his 10-year-old nephew with a knife in rage because her brother did not come to attend her mother's funeral, according to the police.
New Delhi: A woman in Madhya Pradesh’s Bhopal attacked his 10-year-old nephew with a knife in rage because her brother did not come to attend her mother’s funeral, according to the police. The incident is reported to happen in Qazi Camp area under Hanumanganj police station limits in the district on Saturday.
The boy is said to be living with his grandmother for a long time, who died yesterday.
The accused has been identified as Asma (40). After the initial investigation, the police found the 40-year-old woman was not happy with her brother and sister-in-law or the boy’s parents as they did not come to attend the funeral. Reportedly, the boy’s parents live in Jhansi, informed Mahendra Singh Thakur, Hanumanganj police station in-charge.
The victim has been admitted into a government hospital as he is seriously injured. It is reported that Asma had talked to her brother for a few minutes before attacking the boy. During the phone call, a dispute also took place that enraged the Asma, leading her to disconnect the call.
According to media reports, she stabbed the boy with a big knife around 15-20 times.
The police have registered the case of an attempt to murder against the guilty woman. However, the woman is on the run.
