Raj Thackeray congratulates Yogi Govt for removing loudspeakers from religious places, specially the masjids

The loudspeakers at religious places started making headlines after MNS chief Raj Thackeray gave an ultimatum for the removal of loudspeakers at mosques by May 3.

New Delhi: MNS Chief Raj Thackeray congratulated the Yogi Government for having removed the loudspeakers from religious places, specially the masjids.

He also said that unfortunately there is are no ‘yogis’ in Maharashtra instead there are ‘bhogis’ (hedonists).

Over 11,000 loudspeakers have been removed from religious places till Wednesday evening after  the direction of the Uttar Pradesh government.

According to reports, a total of 10,923 loudspeakers were uninstalled from various religious place in Uttar Pradesh.

It is said that loudspeakers were removed from eight zones of the state, including Varanasi, Agra, Meerut, Prayagraj, Gautam Buddh Nagar, Bareilly, Varanasi , Lucknow, Kanpur,Gorakhpur,and four commissionerates — Lucknow, Kanpur.

On April 21, the UP CM Yogi Adityanath had directed that the  loudspeakers placed at religious sites should not play loud sound and also the sound must be confined within the premises only.
