Rajkumar Rao becomes target of online fraud, his PAN card used to raise Rs 2,500 loan

The 37-year-old actor also said that because of fraud, his credit score was affected. He further tagged the officials at Credit Information Bureau (India) Limited (CIBIL) and asked them to take required action to rectify the same.

New Delhi: As the rising case of fraud and heist in the virtual world, actor Rajkumar Rao got entangled in one of such cases. The fraudsters used his PAN card to raise a loan in his name.

Revealing his experience of online fraud, the actor informed that someone has used his PAN card and raised a loan in his name. Taking to Twitter, the actor further said that a loan of meagre Rs 2,500/- was raised and the user apparently used his PAN card to get the loan approved.

The actor has raised an alarm of ‘Fraud Alert’ and tagged the concerned officials for necessary action.

The 37-year-old actor also said that because of fraud, his credit score was affected. He further tagged the officials at Credit Information Bureau (India) Limited (CIBIL) and asked them to take required action to rectify the same.

“#FraudAlert My PAN card has been misused and a small loan of ₹ 2,500 has been taken on my name. Due to which my cibil score has been affected. @CIBIL_Official please rectify the same and do take precautionary steps against this,” Mr Rao tweeted.

Sunny Leone faced online fraud of Rs 2,000

The actor is not just one-off high profile persons to become victim of online fraud. Recently, the sexy siren of Bollywood Sunny Leone was also defrauded as her PAN details were used for a fintech loan fraud.

Leone had tweeted in February, “This just happened to me. INSANE. Some idiot used my Pan to take a 2000 RS loan and FCK’d my CIBIL score (SIC)”, referring to her credit score.

Just a month after Sunny’s episode, the online fraud with leading actor Rajkumar Rao raises many questions about easy yet gullible mode of online transaction.

On the work front, Rao will be seen in films like “Hit”, “Monica, O My Darling” and “Bheed”.
