New Delhi: After the sacking of Rajasthan teacher Nafisa Atari, a technician from Rajouri has suffered the axe for supporting and celebrating Pakistan victory over India in the T20 game on Sunday.
Safiya Majeed, the OT technician in Government Medical College in Rajouri district of Jammu & Kashmir has been terminated from service after she put an objectionable Whatsapp status to celebrate Pakistan’s victory over India in the ICC T20 world cup.
“Whereas a viral video has come to the notice of undersigned from different media platforms and also from Dysp HQ, Rajouri who sent the same via whatsapp in which Miss Safiya Majeed OT Technician, engaged and working as OT Technician in GMC & AH Rajouri seems to have posted her whatsapp status showing celebration of defeat of Indian Cricket Team against Pakistan in T-20 World Cup 2021, the activity which seems to be disloyalty towards nation,” the order reads.
“And, no employee of this institution shall be allowed be disloyal to the nation,” the order added.
The Rajouri government medical college took strong objection to her treacherous conduct and sought to haul her up for gross indiscipline but she didn’t turn up for next 5 days.
Government Medical College Principal Dr Brij Mohan today issued an order to terminate Safiya Majeed from from services of OT Technician with immediate effect.

Nafisa Atari, a school teacher in Rajasthan’s Udaipur was terminated from her job after she expressed joy at Pakistan’s victory against India in Sunday’s T20 World Cup match. The teacher, working at the Neerja Modi School had put up WhatsApp status expressing happiness at India’s loss against Pakistan.
After her termination, she apologized for what she has done with folded hands.
