Record vaccination to lighting 71,000 diyas: BJP’s mega plan for PM Modi’s birthday celebration

The Centre is also looking to create record vaccination drive over next few days, as birthday gift to the Prime Minister.

New Delhi: As the nation celebrates the 71st birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has planned numerous events and programs to mark the special day.

Lighting up 71,000 diyas, carrying out record vaccination, distribution of 14 crore ration bags and sending 5 crore postcards are some of the plans that party will implement in coming days.

The party looks to implement these plans over next 20 days under the Seva and Samarpan Abhiyan – an initiative to mark Prime Minister’s ‘20 years in public service’.

In fact, the BJP workers celebrate “Seva Saptah” for a week starting from September 17, every year.

Details of mega plan to celebrate PM Modi’s birthday

To celebrate the special occasion, BJP will light 71,000 diyas (earthen lamps) at Bharat Mata Temple in Kashi. Also, 14 crore ration bags will be distributed with “Thank-you Modiji” printed on them.

Post offices across the country will receive 5 crore postcards with PM Modi’s photo via mail. Other activities like blood-donation campaigns, clean-up drives for rivers, distribution of ration cards and many more will take place.

“Free vaccinations for all is Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s gift to the nation. Tomorrow on the birthday of our dear Prime Minister, let us launch #VaccineSeva. Those who have not taken the vaccine — take such people, your relatives and people from all segments of society to get vaccinated tomorrow as a birthday gift to the Prime Minister,” tweeted Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya on Thursday.

Citizens can wish via NaMo App & perform Sev

“Seva aur Samarpan Abhiyan”, the 20-day mega camaign, starting from September 17 will continue till October 7.

People who intend to wish PM through NaMo app will have to perform some form of Seva. Besides, citizens have also been encouraged to share their pictures and videos while performing seva on the app.

BJP spokesperson Hero Bajpai said, “We aim to reach out to the maximum people so that they become aware of our policies and they should also know that there is a PM whose birthday is celebrated among common people.”
