New Delhi: Bhatitya Janta Party leader Parvesh Sahib Singh wrote a letter of request to the lieutenant Governor of Delhi Vinai Kumar Saxena to remove Swati Maliwal from the post of Delhi Commission of Women (DCW) chairperson. Saxena alleged in his letter that she appointed workers of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) to different posts in the women’s rights organization.
Before ending his letter, he requested LG Delhi to take action against Maliwal soon and remove her from the post for unconstitutional action. Saxena also mentioned a special court order of Thursday saying to frame the charges against the DCW chairperson and others.
The letter read, ”A special court on Thursday ordered the framing of charges against Delhi Commission of Women (DCW) chairperson Swati Maliwal and former members of the commission Promila Gupta, Sarika Chaudhary, and Farheen Malick.”
”In an alleged plot involving one another, the defendants appointed AAP workers to various DCW positions without following the proper procedures,” added Parvesh in the letter.
According to the information available in the letter, the suspects, mentioned above, have been charged under Section 120B of the IPC.
