Rishabh Pant Accident: Cricketer might be airlifted to Delhi for plastic surgery

Shyam Sharma, Director of DDCA told ANI that a team of Delhi & District Cricket Association (DDCA) is going to Max Hospital Dehradun to monitor his health and if required they will shift him to Delhi.

New Delhi: Rishabh Pant met with a road accident while returning from Delhi to Roorkee after his car collided with the divider on the Narsan border of Roorkee at the Delhi-Dehradun highway. He is currently admitted to Max Hospital in Dehradun where he is undergoing treatment for the injuries on his forehead, back and leg. As per the latest update, Pant might be airlifted to Delhi for plastic surgery.

Actors Anil Kapoor and Anupam Kher arrived at the hospital to meet Pant. While talking to the media, the actors said that they met him and his mother. They also told the media that the cricketer is stable now and appealed to people to pray for his recovery.

As per Panipat Bus Depot general manager, K Jangra bus driver Sushil Kumar and conductor Paramjeet were the ones who saved Rishabh Pant from the burning car. The Haranaya Roadways has decided to honour them for saving a life.

Meanwhile, BCCI is in constant touch with Pant’s family and doctors. The cricket board is ensuring that he gets the best possible medical care.

He was last seen in the Test series against Bangladesh, where he scored 93 off 104 in the first inning after a top-order collapse. He also scored a match-turning inning of 46(45) in the first Test of the tour.
