New Delhi: A Radio Jockey of a well-known FM channel sparked off controversy with her virtual interview of Olympic gold medallist Neeraj Chopra. The RJ and her team received major backlash on Twitter for making the Olympic champion ‘uncomfortable’ during the interview.

RJ Malishka Mendonsa virtually interviewed Olympian Neeraj Chopra on Red FM channel on Thursday. Soon after the interview, she shared a video clip, where she was seen putting up a dance performance for the Olympian with a few of her female colleagues.

The 23-year old Chopra, who was on Zoom call during the interview, seemed uncomfortable and awkwardly smiled throughout the dance performance.

RJ Malishka tweeted the video with caption, “Ladiesssss…Yes I got the hard-hitting, deep answers too but..Take the first 4 secs before the cam moves to the zoom call to guess who we are dancing for  #udejabjabzulfeinteri and then tell me I did it for all of us”

RJ sought virtual hug, Olympian replies with Namaste

In an another video clip, Malishka was also seen ‘virtually’ hugging the Olympian on behalf  of the entire country. To this, an awkward Chopra replied, “Namaste… door se hi” with his hands folded in a gesture of Namaste.
