Rohit Sardana death anniversary: The Nationalist scribe left us on this day, a year ago

New Delhi: Today is the first death anniversary of well-acclaimed & highly popular journalist & TV anchor Rohit Sardana. It was on this day that the journalist, best known for his nationalist reportage, left us for the heavenly abode.

On April 30, 2021, Rohit Sardana breathed his last. He was suffering from Covid-19 and suffered a cardiac arrest which led to his demise at a very young age of 42.

Rohit Sardana left the world at a time when he was fast stepping the ladder of success and carved a special place for himself in the field of journalism. With his sharp & pointed anchoring skills, he had endeared himself to the masses and the youngsters looked upto him as the ideal news presenter/anchor.

Having worked in many TV channels including Zee News & Aaj Tak, he became one of the most popular faces of TV Today Group. His TV debate show ‘Dangal’ hosted top politicians of the country for debating the latest & burning issues and it also got immense popularity among the audience.

Today, as the media industry & the nation observes his 1st anniversary, we pay heartfelt tribute to the most upright & conscientious journalist of this generation.

Last year, Rohit Sardana’s foundation was launched to take his dreams forward and for nurturing good journalism. The foundation aims to create social impact in journalism and also encourage, empower and support journalism that puts nation-first.

Rohit Sardana foundation Trust was set up by his wife Pramila Dixit. He was also a doting father to two daughters.
