New Delhi: As second part of the Budget Session began on Monday, the Lok Sabha witnessed some rare moments of slogan shouting and desk thumping by treasury benches, while the Prime Minister walked in.
Several agenda like Jammu & Kashmir budget and India’s stand on Ukraine crisis are on table for discussion while Opposition is also geared upto with enough ammo to take on the Centre over several issues.
But, as the House commenced, what has grabbed the attention of all is the rousing reception that Prime Minister received in the lower house. The BJP, buoyed by momentous victory in 4 out of 5 states, is in celebratory mode and credits its star campaigner PM himself for sailing the party through the polls, which at a time looked extremely challenging.

As the Prime Minister walked in, BJP parliamentarians stood up to welcome him. Chants of Modi, Modi and Bharat Mata Ki Jai reverberated in the House while PM Modi greeted one & all. While PM Modi took seat, the BJP ministers & lawmakers gave him desk-thumping applaud.
Lok Sabha speaker Om Birla was also all smiles as BJP MPs greeted their leader with loud chants. An Austria delegation, present in the House, was also left in awe & surprise over the thunderous applause given to Prime Minister.
All through this, PM Modi kept watching his colleagues and Opposition benches, trying to send across the message that BJP has decisively left behind its rivals and decimated its ‘anti-people narrative’ for scoring political points.
