Rs 200 crore allocated for Industrial Corridor in Gorakhpur

Industrial manufacturing complex will be developed at six places

Lucknow, February.22:

The Yogi government has placed a strong emphasis on large-scale infrastructure projects and industrial growth in Uttar Pradesh in its budget for 2023–2024. The UP government recently held the UP Global Investors Summit, during which it received investment proposals totaling Rs 33.52 lakh crore in the state. The government is working to make the state’s economy worth one trillion dollars. The government will also set up the Unity Mall to encourage ODOP.

Industrial manufacturing complex will be developed at six places

Rs 235 crore has been arranged for the initial phase of the new projects of Jhansi Link Expressway and Chitrakoot Link Expressway in the budget of the state government. Similarly, for the Defence Corridor Project and the Bundelkhand Expressway, Rs 550 crore have been proposed.

The government has allocated Rs 200 crore for the industrial corridor in Gorakhpur on both sides of Gorakhpur Link Expressway. Apart from this, the government has decided to set up industrial manufacturing complexes at six places along the Purvanchal and Bundelkhand Expressways. Out of this, four complexes will be built along the Purvanchal Expressway and two complexes along the Bundelkhand Expressway.

Government’s emphasis on marketing ODOP

A provision of Rs 25 crore has been made in the Yogi government’s budget for the establishment and development of Pharma Parks in the state. In order to encourage the marketing of ODOP and handicraft products, a provision of Rs 200 crore is proposed in the budget for the financial year 2023-24 for the establishment of Unity Mall.
