New Delhi: Bollywood superstar Salman Khan’s security has been beefed up further and now he will be accorded Y+ security, owing to threats from Lawrence Bishnoi gang.
Recent reports revealed the actor was on the radar of Bishnoi gang and was also being followed by its henchmen. The cops had made the sensational revelations while investigating the murder case of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala.
Other Bollywood stars like Akshay Kumar and Anupam Kher’s security has also been upgraded to X category.
Under the Y+ category security, Salman Khan will now be provided with 4 armed security personnel all the time. Till now, he was getting regular protection from Mumbai Police.
Under X category, Akshay & Anupam will have 3 security personnel working in shifts to protect them.
However, the cost of security personnel will be borne by the celebs only, a report in MidDay said.
Salman Khan & his father Salim Khan had received a threat letter in June this year, following which concerns were raised about actor’s security. In the letter apparently sent by Lawrence Bishnoi gang members, they had threatened to do a Moosewala on Salman & his father. Following the sensational disclosures, Mumbai Police swung into action and arrested many gangsters who confessed to be part of the plot and also revealed sinister designs in pipeline to target the actor. They also revealed that the actor was followed during his visits to farmhouse and an aborted attempt was also made.
The decision to upgrade Anupam Kher’s security was taken over security threats to the actor following release of his film ‘The Kashmir Files’ while Akshay Kumar was also at the target of social media trolls over his nationality.
